Without a doubt, 2025 is initiating the paradigm shift that we’re all going to witness and experience in 2026.
When a new system and modality is coming into being, we can feel and sense the demise and decay of the current one collapsing – whether that be a subtle quiet collapse and disappearance or a shockingly vivid one – through collective exhaustion, the humming of fatigue or low-level uncertainty. Whilst the friction may feel heavy, the light and energy of opportunity beams through brightly, glinting the new paradigm that awaits. You can either fear the new or embrace it with curiosity. I’m wholeheartedly choosing the latter because I’m consciously attuned to it and I like what’s emerging.
This isn’t just one system of change. It’s systematic, interconnected shifts.
Just look at what’s happening across politics (which has been moving at the pace of quicksand since the year began), the dissolving of the “traditional” job landscape, how people are living and the growing shift of leaning into our own intuition and calling. Instead of relying on outdated systems and ways of living that are creating resistance and blocks through their inability to adapt to the new energies and frequencies of today, we’re sidestepping them so that we can move away from stagnation and frustration into expansiveness and abundance. A door is being unlocked.
Have you noticed that people are picking up and feeling the big energy change, the speeding up of time, events, moments, momentum? And how people themselves, in their own individual way, are experiencing their own inner reckoning right now – on the verge of a powerful revival and renaissance?
I’ve been subconsciously fascinated by modalities and systems for most of my life, starting off with my deep curiosity in the infrastructural and societal changes which arise through constitutional law and now business, technology, astrology and energetics – each are connected to systems and modalities, how we live and move through the world.
Systems shape us. They define us. They keep things structured for as long as we need them too.
Modalities, on the other hand, are the mode in which something exists, is experienced or expressed. It’s a recalibration of energy, the synthesis of moving and being in alignment – no force, no friction. Just being.
If a dress is a “system” then the colour and style would be the “modality”, or a phone is the “system” and the model of the phone is the “modality”.
One can stay the same, whilst the other changes. Both can also change at the same time, which is what, I suspect, will happen on 25 May 2025 as Saturn moves into Aries, solidifying and getting series about the beliefs we re-examined at the end of March with Neptune’s 14-year move into Aries which is forcing us to take individual action, chart our own paths and move quicker and faster on a pace more associated with fire – Aries – than the slow watery dreamer which is Pisces which had been in Neptune from 2011.
Saturn’s departure from Pisces and its ingress into Aries – into a brand-new cycle – means something major is being birthed. As Saturn transits in and out of Aries, finally spending more time in the sign from mid-February 2026, this is pointing at us to become more self-reliant. It calls on us to redefine leadership. And requests that we take the initiative to take an active role in fine-tuning the creation of these new modalities so that we experience the renaissance that we want.
If we know what we want, then only we have the power to craft and create it as we seek to experience it. Like the European cultural Renaissance of the 15th and 16th centuries, it will require the act of work, energy, intention and initiation to make great strides in our flourishing.
In the lead up to my birthday a few weeks ago, I went within and became still. With my birthday being sandwiched between the Neptune and Saturn’s transits, the turning points of revival have been feeling very awake and alive for me. Never have I felt more integrated and grounded in the reality of a year before.
Whilst we’re all physically present in 2025, many people are mentally programmed and stuck in previous years and cycles – it could be that they’re still in 2024 or are living by the systems, standards and structures that were created in 2001. It’s different for everyone. But I’m fully in touch with the energy, movement and life of 2025 and what 2025’s intention is for me.
A few days ago, I had a conversation with someone who attended the same university as me but who was in the year below. We both agreed that when we were at university it seemed like a parallel universe to now. Similar, but really not quite the same era at all. Sure, people used their phones. But they weren’t living completely within their phones as many do today. Mental health and wellbeing weren’t really discussed. Now it’s everywhere.
The paradigm has shifted so much, but we hadn’t fully integrated it until years later until after it became mainstream. Just imagine a world where we didn’t discuss our wellbeing at this point in time and how odd that would feel. These leaps of “futuristic” innovations are serving us and helping us even if we aren’t fully aware how or why right now. We discover the answers and insights through time and experience. How are you integrating the shifts and changes taking place right now? If not, how it is limiting you or could limit you in the near future?
Over the last few years, I’ve radically changed my sense of trust and safety in the things that I took for granted, especially institutions and institutional power. The old guard is on shaky ground. The new guard still has to work on its structures and values to full embody itself to substance, although it’s beginning to solidify (see how Harvard Business School has rolled out the red carpet for successful celebrity and influencer entrepreneurs who don’t have degrees whilst its own M.B.A. students struggle to gain jobs in the traditional corporate career route).
Trailblazers and leaders are the ones who go FIRST by embracing the standards, values and reality of 2025. Not 2022. Not 2019. They go all in and integrate the mind, spirit and soul of what’s taking place in popular culture, politics and places right now. They can (and ought to) respect the lessons of history and the past. But to thrive in the new modalities and systems they need to live within the energy and intention of them.
As recently explored in my piece Intellectualism 3.0, I believe we’re on the precipice of deep integration. The new guard has proven itself in its concept but needs to root itself into the substance of the long-term reality that it’s seeking to create relating to relationships, how we work, live and the values of this new paradigm. Equally, the old guard must verify its authority by embracing and integrating its relevance and value in what’s happening in the here and now.
If we are seeking serenity from our systems, we need to be the ones to integrate serenity within them. Rather than resistance, we need to take full active ownership of the responsibility we have in the real reality we have – not just in the digital world – breaking free from the illusion that our power is too fractured and collectively weak to embed and embody powerful and attractive change.
Invitation, activation, initiation and integration are what we need to move from idea to movement, dream to actualisation. This is a time to start again, from a clean energy slate, without the entanglements of outdated roles, borrowed expectations and old frequencies and feelings. When we are seeking a renaissance, we must be willing to move through fresh air, breathe it in and integrate it in order to be revived.
In the end, our renaissance will be experienced as a remembering of who we are at our essence and what we came here to become with time and years – and the years where we experienced a personal renaissance – being a core component in the actualisation of our lifelong becoming.
Until next time…
